“There are many aspects that have pleased me about the way Sitzler Pty Ltd have approached what is a complex Design and Construct contract.
There are only 15 Helium recovery plants in the world and each plant needs to be custom designed to suit the specific gas and local conditions. The Darwin helium plant design therefore demanded a high degree of co-operation between our designers in Switzerland, Germany and you in Darwin.
The suggestions and design optimisation ideas offered from Sitzler’s team were rapidly incorporated by BOC into the project design.
This co-operation was again demonstrated when the differences in European and Australian design standards needed to be managed -this was handled professionally and expediently. The rapid acceptance of Sitzler’s designs by BOC’s engineers in Switzerland & Germany is testimony of the high regard that you are held in.
As I look at the buildings I see a pleasing profile in silhouette and know we have something special which will complement the high tech equipment that produces the coldest substance on earth – liquid helium. This result, together with completion on time and on budget (with no animosity over claims) makes it all the more rewarding.”
“Over the course of construction, we have been very satisfied with the outcomes delivered by Sitzler’s team, led by Jamie Porrovecchio. The Sitzler team managed stakeholders well and were ethical and proactive in their approach.
The performance of Sitzler is to be recognised within Plenary to be outstanding, we attest that their approach to Project Management, being diligent and managing issues proactively with an eye for not just their scope, but for best outcome for the project. Sitzler’s team have a pride in their product and are focused on project outcomes with assists in their ability to exceed expectations.”
“The achievement of Sitzler’s team to manage their obligations for this project were nothing short of outstanding, and it is noted that it came at a personal sacrifice to your key personnel which didn’t go unnoticed. Further to this, the collaborative manner in which you conducted yourselves as a Head Contractor, as well as the way your team was flexible to new challenges such as additional scope added to the project was testament to the confidence both we as PMCA and Defence have in your team.
Your contribution enabled DSRG to successfully deliver a suitable facilities outcome to provide working and living accommodation for over 1,000 US Military Personnel, thereby meeting inter-Governmental commitments, which if not delivered, would have met with the highest of ministerial scrutiny. Your ability to perform under this pressure was outstanding and I have no hesitation in recommending your company for future construction projects.”
“I had the privilege of working with Sitzler during the construction of the C-Band Radar Station at Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt in Exmouth, WA. Sitzler was the managing contractor responsible for site safety, fire suppression, coordination of specialty contractors, and consultant to the Defence Material Organisation (DMO) among other things.
The project manager for Sitzler was Mr. Jamie Porrevecchio. Without question, Mr.Porrevecchio and his team’s knowledge and abilities enabled the completion of this project within the allotted timeframe providing tremendous savings to the United States and Australia
Sitzler proved their ability to manage this multi-faceted project with international stakeholders. Besides the US Air National Guard, Sitzler regularly managed and facilitated cooperation between Raytheon (base contractors at NCS Harold E. Holt), DMO, United States Air Force Space Command, local subcontractors, local and international vendors, building surveyors, and other government officials.
I highly recommend Sitzler Pty Ltd for future construction and project management when international savvy and solid construction expertise are required.”

“We have worked with Sitzler on two projects related to the recently completed award winning Darwin City Waterfront.
In our experience, where we provided design documentation and construction quality control services for both projects, Sitzler acted with extreme professionalism at all times.
Both projects were particularly complicated and required the co-ordination of several trades, particularly in the delivery of the wave lagoon and its associated plant rooms.
Sitzler always paid particular attention to the finished quality of their workmanship, they were adaptable to design refinements and often provided assistance into the resolution of difficult detailing.
These qualities matched with their ability to provide both projects to a difficult program and budget constraints are a direct result of the projects success. We have had pleasure working with Sitzler on these projects and look forward to continuing our relationship in the next opportunity.”
