The NT Secure Facilities is a 1000 bed Correctional Centre, a 30 Bed multi-classification Mental Health and Behavioral Management Centre and a supported Accommodation and Programs Centre of 50 beds designed to house lower risk offenders whilst providing education and rehabilitation support services.

The Darwin Convention Centre a world-class, multi-purpose facility features highly flexible and adaptive spaces to cater for meetings, banquets, conventions and exhibitions. Main areas of the Centre included Plenary Hall with seating 1500 people theater style; Exhibition Hall with a 4000m2 area with the capacity 235 exhibition booths; Function Rooms catering for 400 people banquet style; and flexible meeting rooms.

The Roper and Wilton Bridge consisted of two new high-level bridge crossings across crocodile infested waterways and 7.5km of approach roads stretching over a 30km long project corridor. Over 150,000m3 of material was sourced from 6 extraction sites to complete the works, The completion of the bridges significantly reduces the average annual duration of road closures to Ngukurr from 180 days down to 12 days leading to significant improvements for services provisions in the area.

The civil works associated with the NT Secure Facilities included the clearing of over 40ha of dense vegetation, mulching, cut and fill operations to form the building platforms and the construction of a reticulated temporary sealed roadway system for construction traffic. All civil works for roads and service installations including power, water, communications, sewer and storm water as well as associated water retention structures were also completed.

This new state of the art facility includes administration offices, operational areas, Watch House, Community Hall, services building, and covered parking areas. The new Police Station and Watch House will enable up to 200 Police to deliver key policing outcomes and provide a permanent and central physical presence in the Palmerston area.

The Wadeye Police complex included the consolidation of 6 existing lots into 1 re zoned super lot. In parallel to construction, this scope included new PWC sewer infrastructure works and the demolition of a block duplex, existing police station, existing PWC tank yard and 2 houses and relocation of 1 house, 2 duplex units and 2 existing sheds.

Sitzler undertook the bulk earthworks and pavement package for the emitter sites at the Delamere Air Weapons Training Range. This required the sourcing and placement 300,000m3 of engineered fill along with 6 sealed intersections that provide access from the Buntine Highway road corridor, all delivered within a very tight time frame.

The Rapid Creek Flood Mitigation at Darwin International Airport controls the impact of floodwaters on the Rapid Creek floodplain. Earthworks included the excavation of a 95,000 mega litre detention basin, flood retention embankments and extensive culvert installations including two major crossings under the main airport entrance road, Henry Wrigley Drive.

The Litchfield Park Road Upgrade involved the formation upgrading and sealing of the Litchfield Park Road loop, including the construction of the Lower Finniss River Bridge. Two separate sections of existing unsealed road were upgraded with the completed works requiring over 40,000m3 of cut-to-fill earthworks within National Park boundaries.

The Archer Zone Substation ultimately saw the new 27MVA transformer providing alternative power supply and capacity to the fast-growing Palmerston region. Although initially comprising a single 27MVA transformer, the site was designed and constructed to accommodate a future configuration of three 27MVA transformers plus an additional 66kV transmission line linking Archer with the Hudson Creek Substation.

As part of the Strategic Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Program (SIHIP) in the Northern Territory, Sitzler undertook the civil works component of a 140-lot subdivision including all headworks at the Maningrida Community on the remote North Coast of Arnhem Land.

The SA Water Workshop is a 510m2 storage shed and welding and includes office space and additional workshop close to the two new structures.
