Our Story
Established in 1976, Sitzler has been operating for over 45 years.
Under the ownership of Steve Margetic and Michael Sitzler for the past 30 years, the company has continued to grow, building on experience, technical capability and a reputation to deliver exceptional results.
The success and reputation of Sitzler has been shaped by our long-term management team who have grown within. Under the leadership of Steve and Michael, this team has been instrumental in leading us from a north Australian construction company to a national construction specialist, with the capability to deliver on even the largest of projects.
With the ability to scale our resources, we have adapted to meet the many different market opportunities encountered over the past 40 years. From the early days of building in the remotest parts of Australia, Sitzler’s project portfolio now spans across the country covering all sectors and industries of the economy.

Sitzler Director Michael Sitzler and NNT Executive Officer Ian Harkness seal the deal on a three year partnership between Netball NT and Sitzler.

Sitzler has a long successful history of supporting and providing opportunity to Indigenous People and Communities.
This effort has now been extended with the establishment of Tiwi Partners (Aust) Pty Ltd. Tiwi Partners (Aust) Pty Ltd has been formed to incorporate the Tiwi Partners Joint Venture between the Tiwi Islands Equity Holders Pty Ltd and Sitzler Pty Ltd. The primary focus of Tiwi Partners (Aust) Pty Ltd is to bring together parties with a long-term commitment to the development of the Tiwi people, and is firmly focused on Indigenous progression.
The progression from Joint Venture to Incorporation signifies an important step toward supporting Indigenous Enterprise development and improving training and employment outcomes within the Indigenous communities, not only on the Tiwi Islands, but throughout Australia.
