The Civil operations team is seeking a Specialist Plant Operator with experience in the operation of specialist plant used in civil construction including pavement stabilisation, pugmilling and screening equipment.

Key Attributes and Skills:

  • Current licences / certificates of competency for machinery
  • Knowledge and relevant work experience in the operation of specialist plant used in civil construction including pavement stabilisation, pugmilling and screening equipment
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the civil construction industry
  • Relevant experience in the safe and competent operational procedures of complex mechanical plant in construction
  • Ability to keep accurate records utilising sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to read and comply with approved traffic control plans and road construction plans
  • National recognised construction induction card
  • Forklift high risk work licence
  • Hold a valid Australian HC drivers licence

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of specialist plant and equipment and have a willingness to be trained
  • Maintain plant on a daily basis or as required and keep in a safe & clean condition
  • Complete daily/weekly plant inspection sheets
  • Report defects in any item(s) of plant and equipment to the Direct Line Manager
  • Carry out other duties as required including some labouring
  • Monitor materials for quality and quantity as delivered to worksite
