Territory-wide, NT
This role will include:
- Supervise site based projects including monitoring of subcontractor procurement in accordance with the projects schedule
- Identification of potential practical cost saving design solutions for review with Site Manager
- Check designs and details on plans, any ambiguity to be followed up and resolved with Site Manager
- Monitor and manage project deliverables in accordance with the project schedule and liaise with Site Manager
- Keep records relating to and maintain contact and communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities
- Assist and provide input with project staff in the assessment and selection of subcontractors relative to the market
- Coordinate subcontractor planning to ensure adherence to project objectives
- Material procurement in accordance with the projects purchasing procedure and limits of authority
- Assess plant and labour resource requirements for the project and communicate recommendations to Site Manager
- Manage and verify site setout and survey, including the establishment of adequate controls and recovery datum
- Develop processes for deficient areas as work progresses
- Provide leadership and direction to site personnel ensuring project team works efficiently and effectively, with team members covering roles in other jobs when necessary
- Foster, lead and promote good project culture presenting a collaborative environment of high morale
- Assist with the supervision of project staff and subcontractors
- Ensure site offices, amenities and storage buildings are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
- Ensure that all company policies and practices are implemented as written
- Promote the company’s image at all times
Contract Administration
- Identify and record any current or potential risk pertaining to programme or scope and communicate with your Site Manager for assessment
- As required, provide assistance to your Site Manager for the assessment of Head Contract claims for variations, delays and other contractual claims
- Assist the Site Manager in the evaluation of all subcontractors claims for payment, variations, delays and other contractual claims
Key Attributes and Skills:
- Recognised Degree
- Industry experience, including:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in estimating, administration and project management
- Complete understanding of:
- Construction or civil materials and methods
- Project programming
- Management and planning skills
- Exposure to contract administration
