  • In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for conducting market research and providing management with relevant and timely advice on internal and external risks and opportunities that could affect the performance of the business.
  • You will utilise Company data to transfer information to meaningful statistics enhancing our bid management win ratio as well as improving accuracy in project profit reporting; and develop project reporting analysis to validate project status updates including financial, program, procurement and total project performance.
  • Further, you will conduct analysis of Territory, State and Federal government public budgets, and identify spend per sector in a three way model for temporal analysis. Overlay this with market specific and relevant private sector spend for targeted sectors such as Oil and Gas, Mining, etc.

 

This role will include:

  • Assess markets and monitor threats and opportunities to current and future market environments.
  • Utilising project benchmarking data develop, implement and monitor project performance, develop, implement and provide status updates on all projects in a sophisticated and simple format.

  • Study market data for infrastructure, commercial, defence and oil and gas opportunities (including civil) and identify budget spend over a forecasted period of time based on published government budgets, corporate budgets and prospectuses and other financial indicators and information available to us.
  • Research and assess budgets allocated to defence aligned private enterprises such as Primes to determine capital works programs.
  • Identify, analyse and validate business benefits associated with initiatives.
  • Lead the development and documentation of project related initiatives such as discussion papers, feasibility assessments, business case and business requirement documents.
  • Facilitate user group discussions to gather inputs and analyse end user requirements.
  • Review processes within the business, challenge norms and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding

 

Key Attributes and Skills:

  • Recognised and relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience in business analysis, process analysis, process improvement, systems analysis, or related fields
  • Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of business models and key business strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing complex issues and preparing written reports and presentations that clearly articulate the issues and proposed solutions.
