Project Completion: Tiger Brennan Drive Overpass

Sitzler has successfully completed the Tiger Brennan Drive Overpass project, with practical completion officially granted by our client NT Logistics and Infrastructure.

This marks a major milestone for our team and the broader community, as the overpass is now fully open and in public use. It represents one of the largest road infrastructure projects delivered in the Darwin region.

  • $165 million project budget, co-funded by federal and NT governments
  • Helps manage approximately 20,000 daily vehicles and streamlines freight to East Arm Wharf
  • Delivered in partnerships with nearly 250 Territory businesses and over 1,700 local workers, including a 200-strong Indigenous workforce and nearly 50 apprentices and trainees
  • 6,700m of HV cable relocated
  • 390,000m3 of embankment fill required
  • Over 50,000 tonnes of recycled crushed concrete & type 2 gravel used
  • Utilised Larrakia artwork by Lorraine Williams and Natalie Quoll
  • Has transformed a historic traffic black‑spot into a safe, continuous arterial corridor

The achievement reflects the dedication, expertise and teamwork of our local industry partners and the Sitzler project team. We are also grateful for the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the public, our client, industry peers and other stakeholders. The consistent recognition for construction quality, safety and user experience speaks volumes about the pride we take in our work.

Congratulations to everyone involved. This is a project we will all remember!
