The Boolardy Station Aerodrome is an uncontrolled Aeroplane Landing Area (ALA) featuring two runways. The upgrades aim to enhance the aerodrome’s functionality, safety, and capacity to support both routine and emergency operations.Â
The upgrade works for the aerodrome include:Â
- Runway 15/33, Apron, and Taxiway: Sealing and extending the existing runway 15/33, along with constructing a new apron area and taxiway. The upgrades will ensure proper integration with the cross runway.Â
- Perimeter Fencing: Removal of redundant fencing and extension to accommodate the additional 300m of runway. A provisional option includes replacing site fencing with a new security and wildlife fencing system, subject to client approval.Â
- Airfield Lighting: Expansion of the existing solar AGL lighting system and installation of emergency and security floodlights for the apron area.Â
