Meet Project Manager, Stephen.

Steve began his career with Sitzler in 2010 as a carpentry apprentice, honing his skills across a diverse range of health, commercial, Defence, and residential projects.

Early on, he demonstrated strong aptitude in site management, buildability analysis, program coordination, and delivering high-quality outcomes. Coupled with a firm focus on safety and environmental management, he quickly became a trusted member of Sitzler’s site management teams. His clear communication and ability to set and manage expectations have fostered strong relationships with stakeholders, team members, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Following continued development and career progression, Steve was promoted to Project Manager in March 2022, leading large-scale Defence projects in unique and remote locations, including the Delamere Air Weapons Range stimulus works during the challenging COVID-19 period (valued at $120M) and AIR7000 Phase 1B at RAAF Tindal (valued at $310M). In this role, he excels at mentoring team members and contractors, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and ensuring technical requirements are delivered to the highest standard.

Steve still enjoys getting hands-on on site, showcasing his technical expertise and passion. His ability to resolve complex construction challenges supported by his diverse background and holistic understanding of all aspects of project management combined with his leadership and commitment to excellence, continues to make him a respected and key contributor to Sitzler’s success.
