The Katherine Aquatic Centre redevelopment is supported by funding from the Australian Government, the NT Government, and the Katherine Town Council. The upgraded facility will feature:

• A fully renovated 50-metre pool. 

• A new 25-metre heated pool with six lanes, a depth ranging from 1.05 to 1.4 metres, and accessibility features such as a ramp, diving blocks at the deep end, and a ledge for swimming lessons. This pool is ideal for learn-to-swim programs and fitness classes, with shading for added comfort. 

• A splash zone equipped with a play area, activation toys, ground sprays, and umbrella shades. 

• Modern plant and equipment rooms. 

• An assisted change facility designed to provide accessible amenities for individuals with disabilities.
