Sitzler wins the Toyota Australia National Civil/Infrastructure Award – under $25 million
Sitzler wins the Toyota Australia National Civil/Infrastructure Award – under $25 million in the Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards for the Rapid Creek Flood Mitigation project.
We are humbled by this recognition which was received a few weeks after being recognised for 3 projects in the NT MBA Awards. It is another acknowledgement of our proven capability and capacity to deliver quality and cost effective large civil/engineering projects to the satisfaction of our clients. We also acknowledge the collaborative efforts of our client, sub-contractors, suppliers and statutory authorities which were critical to our success.
The Rapid Creek Flood Mitigation at Darwin International Airport controls the impact of floodwaters on the Rapid Creek floodplain. Earthworks included the excavation of a 95 mega litre detention basin, flood retention embarkments and extensive culvert installations including two major crossings under the main airport entrance road.
We have invested heavily in the acquisition of new plant and equipment to significantly increase the ability to provide large scale civil solutions for their clients. This included a fully-equipped earthmoving fleet and a team of highly experienced multi-skilled key personnel enabling Sitzler to self-perform large civil work projects.
The 2020 National Excellence in Building & Construction Awards recognises the very best building projects from around the country and the builders that constructed them across the residential, commercial/industrial or civil infrastructure construction sectors.
