Sitzler continually look to support the communities it operates within. Sitzler has an active memorandum of understanding with the Larrakia Development Corporation (LDC) which represents the traditional owners of Darwin and its surrounds, the Larrakia people. Many projects include LDC participation and both businesses continually work together to deliver benefits to all Larrakia people through the creation of enterprises, employment and training. Industrial Relations To ensure good industrial relations are always maintained, Sitzler has undertaken to comply with the provisions of the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Industry Guidelines for the Industrial Relations and Occupational Health and Safety Components of the National Code and the comparative Northern Territory Procurement Code. Our commitment to the relevant codes is reinforced through our continued active membership with the Master Builders Association, the Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce and Contractor Accreditation Limited. Our subcontract documentation requires all trade contractors to comply with their obligations under the superannuation legislation and Workers Compensation insurance in accordance with appropriate State/Territories legislation. Evidence of our undertaking is a proven exemplary record with no history of industrial unrest or disputes since commencing operations in 1976.
